The 2019 Parade of Homes
by Eric Craig Homes, Inc.

Eric Craig Homes is pleased to present the 2019 Showcase Home for the Baldwin County Home Builder Association’s Parade of Homes. Located at 21673 Veranda Boulevard within the heart of Fairhope, Alabama’s newest custom homes development, this idyllic residence embodies The Verandas’ commitment to community building, custom home and cutting-edge amenities right off of Highway 104.

Brought to fruition in collaboration between Eric Craig Homes, The Verandas developers Trae Corte and Bruce Bigler, listing agent Michelle Bigler of Wise Living Real Estate, Stephanie Minter Design, Coast Design Kitchen and Bath and Malouf Furniture, the 2019 Showcase Home is the first of many exceptional homes underway within the burgeoning neighborhood. Nestled in the cool shade of deep-rooted oak trees, the 2019 Showcase Home’s traditional concrete pathway leads one to an exquisite façade of white painted brick and hardy board with artisan shake detail complimented in contrast with the porch’s exposed beams, pillars of Old Growth Cypress harvested in Louisiana.

Throughout its 3200 sq. ft. interior, this state-of-the-art “smart home” featuring an open floor plan of white oak hardwood with natural wood headers lends itself to four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, a state-of-the-art kitchen and laundry room, oversized garage, mother-in-law suite, outdoor kitchen, three fireplaces, plenty of natural light and more.

Featuring cypress exposed beams and custom header above bed with built-in lighting, the Master Bedroom is an alcove of intimate amenities and meticulous craftsmanship. Additional features include a private porch with its own fireplace and an impressive closet which not only boasts ample space, but also a hidden passageway to the laundry room where strategic design takes precedence with a built-in dog bath and laundry chute. Partitioning the Master Bedroom from the Master Bathroom are enchanting barn doors. Featuring herringbone porcelain flooring, the Master Bathroom’s sprawling vanity sculpted in whitewash shiplap boasts duel sinks and a spacious bathtub and sinks of limestone as complimented by the adjacent sprawling shower crafted of white/grey marbledporcelain.

Transporting one from a spacious living room complete with rustic cypress exposed beams, old time hammer truss and a massive brick fireplace centered by built-in floating shelves on either side, twelve-foot tri-fold iron-trimmed glass doors give way to nearly 1000 sq ft of outdoor living space with a fireplace perfect for autumnal evenings, an outdoor kitchen, beverage center and unprecedented wetland views, ensuring complete privacy for now and in the future.

Returning from the great outdoors, the state-of-the-art kitchen is a dynamic feat of timeless craftsmanship and “smart” ingenuity. Featuring beautiful pecky custom cabinets and an oversized pantry coupled with cutting-edge GE appliances in matte white with gunmetal accents, this custom kitchen serves as an immaculate sight of celebration present and preparation.

For all the exceptional features exhibited within the Baldwin County Home Builder Association Parade of Homes’ 2019 Showcase Home, its splendor does not end at 21673 Veranda Boulevard. Located just around the corner from The Verandas’ Clubhouse where a state-of-the-art zero entry pool will be complimented with plenty of lounge chairs, cabanas, grilling sites and even a fire pit for unforgettable summer memories. Conversely, this home is also just a hop, skip and a jump from The Verandas’ community garden, an orchard teeming with blueberry trees, loquats, apples, satsumas, blackberry bushes, pumpkins, watermelons and more. This beautiful neighborhood also features tree-lined streets and a stocked pond for your family’s enjoyment.

In the continued interest of ensuring that this year’s Showcase House feels like home, the team behind the The Verandas has called upon the Gulf Coast’s premier furniture and interior design group, Malouf Furniture. Boasting smooth lines and refreshing textile punctuated by rustic accents, Malouf’s signature affinity for new classics finds its perfect backdrop in The Verandas with a full house staging that is sure to be nothing short of show-stopping.

The Verandas is a neighborhood for custom homes in Fairhope, Alabama. This rural Baldwin County farmland is being transformed into a residential community for families, retirees, first-time home buyers and anyone wanting a new upscale home.  More than a neighborhood, it’s a lifestyle.
